When is the busy season for roofing contractor businesses?
April is the busiest month in our data (+58% against an average month) and January the slowest (−49%) (Page One Partner Research, September 2026).

August is the busiest month in our data (+63% against an average month) and December the slowest (−45%) (Page One Partner Research, September 2026).
When is the best time to book a contractor?
Slow months usually mean shorter waits. In our data customer demand is lowest in December; for non-urgent work, booking in a trade's slow season can make scheduling easier. Prices depend on the business, so compare quotes either way.
Methodology
How we measured it
Scope: every figure here comes from the Google Business Profiles of 200+ U.S. local businesses managed by Page One Insights, the company behind Page One Partner. It does not describe the Page One Partner directory or every business. The businesses are mostly home-service trades, and their locations and climates shape the pattern; a business in a colder or warmer region can see a different season.
Data: Google's daily Business Profile performance report, September 2025 to August 2026 (twelve complete months), plus the twelve months before it to measure growth. Customer contacts are calls and website visits started from the profile; views are profile views (Google counts one per person per day). Direction requests are left out. A business is included only with at least 20 days of data in each of the twelve months and contacts in at least 10 of them.
Seasonal pattern only: businesses that work with a marketing company often grow during the year, which would make later months look busier. Each business's growth is measured by comparing the same calendar months a year apart, and removed before the pattern is computed. Months are compared per day, so February's fewer days do not count against it. Each business's month is then divided by its own average month, so every business counts equally and large businesses do not dominate.
This is one year of data. Weather, storms and holidays in that year are part of the pattern. Figures are aggregates: no business or profile is published, categories need at least 10 businesses, and the number of businesses is published rounded down to the nearest 50. The aggregate tables are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0: credit "Page One Partner Research" with a link to the study.
Recomputed weekly; this edition was computed in September 2026.
