Sponsored placements can appear at the top of a page, always labeled Sponsored, and they never change how the rest of the businesses are ranked.

What do Recommended, Verified and Sponsored mean?

Recommended means the business is a client of Page One Insights, the company that publishes this directory. It is a business relationship, not an independent rating, and Recommended businesses are listed first. Verified means the business's Google Business Profile is owner-verified with Google and we have a second confirmation it is real: a Page One Partner specialist spoke with the owner on a setup call (shown as "Verified by phone" with the date), it is a Page One Insights client, or it carries at least five Google reviews. Sponsored means a business paid for that placement; it's always labeled and never affects ranking.

How current are ratings and hours?

Ratings, hours and contact details are pulled from each business's Google Business Profile and refreshed daily, so what you see here matches what's on Google.
